Frequently asked questions

What areas do you cover?

I’m based in Barry – South Wales so I mainly cover the South Wales and South West areas, but I am more than happy to cover weddings in any part of the United Kingdom and further afield.

How do we book you and finalise our date?

To book, simply get in touch with your wedding date to see if I’m available and I’ll get back to you asap. If I’m available on your date,  I will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your plans and ideas for the big day.  Once you have booked, I will be on hand to answer any queries or questions you have and I’m always happy to help where I can, even if its not photography related.

To finalise your booking and secure your date, I require a deposit of £300 to be payed at the time of booking. This is deducted from your final package price with the remaining balance due 4 weeks before the date of the wedding.

Can we pay in installments?

That is no problem at all. I fully understand that weddings are expensive, and especially right now, things can be difficult financially. We can discuss this further during the meeting to see what best works for you.

Do you do group photos?

Although my wedding style angles more towards relaxed, natural candid’s for most of the day, I absolutely do cover the group shots also, after all, how often do you get all your friends and family in one place at the same time? I do advise to keep the group shots to between 8 and 10 so you can get back to enjoying your day and to avoid you being away from your guests for too long.

What about the couple photos?

I personally feel that these are a must but its up to you if you want them. I like to take my couples off either to a nice location of their choice between the ceremony and drinks reception (time permitting), or use an area away from the guests at the venue, usually for around 35-40 mins. Not only does this allow me to capture some beautiful portraits for you, it gives you both a little bit of alone time as well where you can just be together on your special day. Don’t worry about awkward posing, I prefer to let my couples be them selves with just a hint of direction.

Are you insured?

Absolutely, I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance cover and I am more than happy to provide copies to venues should they request them.

Do you have backup equipment with you?

For a wedding photographer, backup equipment is a must! I always carry 2 cameras, ample lenses, batteries, memory cards and spare lighting just in case. My equipment is well looked after and serviced regularly to keep it in tip top condition so rest assured I wont be calling it a day half way through your day owing to a faulty camera!

How long does it take to receive our photos?

Once the wedding day is complete, I make a start on backing up and then editing your photos. I know you will be keen to see the photos so I try to get a few previews over to you within 7 days. I then aim to have all of your photos ready in high resolution within 6-8 weeks. The photos will be sent to you via a private gallery for you to view and download. Depending on which package you choose, I will then get your USB or album finalised with yourselves before ordering.
